Date of birth, gender, and blood group, passport size photo (if provided)
Login credentials such as username and password
Academic preferences and enrolled courses
Course progress, quiz results, and mock test performance
Device information (browser, operating system, app usage data)

(b) Instructor Information

Name, email, contact number, photo and other relevant documents
Qualifications, subject expertise, and teaching content
Bank details for payment settlement (encrypted and confidential)
Login credentials and account activity

(c) Payment Information

Debit/credit card numbers, UPI IDs, and transaction details
Billing address and payment history
Refund details, if applicable
(Note: Payment data is handled securely by third-party gateways. We do not store full card details on our servers.)

(d) Android App Data

Login and course activity
Downloaded/offline lectures (valid only during course access period)
Notifications and announcements received through the app

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used only for legitimate educational and administrative purposes:

To create and manage student and instructor accounts
To assign or deliver purchased courses and maintain course validity
To assign quizzes, track progress, and generate reports
To send important updates, announcements, and offers
To process payments, refunds, and generate invoices
To improve platform performance and learning experience
To provide customer support and resolve queries

3. Data Confidentiality and Security

We take strong measures to protect your data:

Passwords are encrypted and not visible to anyone (including our staff).
Payment information is processed via secure PCI-DSS compliant gateways.
Access to sensitive data is restricted to authorized staff only.

5. Course Validity and Data Retention

Student course data (progress, quiz history, downloads) is retained during the validity period.
Once a course expires, access to content and downloads will be revoked.
Students must purchase the course again to regain access after expiry.
Instructor data is retained as long as they are associated with the platform.

6. Your Rights as a User

As a registered user, you have the right to:

Access and review your personal information.
Request correction of inaccurate or outdated data.
Request account deletion (after clearing pending obligations).
Opt out of promotional communications.
File complaints regarding data misuse or breaches.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Track course usage, time spent, and device preferences.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Student and instructor data is retained only as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal requirements, or resolve disputes.
Once a course expires, academic data such as quiz attempts, progress records, and downloads may be archived or deleted.
Students may request permanent deletion of their personal data (such as name, mobile number, email, DOB, blood group, login credentials, and app records) by contacting support@jmcstudyhub.com.
Upon verification, data will be deleted from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g., invoices, tax records, and refund histories).
Payment transaction data may be retained by our payment gateway partners for regulatory compliance but will not be accessible or used by JMC Study Hub.
Once deletion is complete, the account will be permanently deactivated, and access to purchased courses will end.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our courses are intended for learners above 16 years of age. For younger students (if any), accounts should be created with parental guidance and supervision.

10. Updates to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or business practices. Updates will be communicated via email or platform announcements. Continued use of JMC Study Hub after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
